1. What we collect

2. Why we use it

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share only what is needed with service providers who help us run WoodPay: payment partners (e.g. Flutterwave, Monnify), airtime/data/bill providers, our hosting and database providers (Netlify, Google Firebase), and email/notification services. We may also disclose data to regulators, courts or law enforcement when the law requires it.

4. Where it is stored

Some of our providers store data on servers outside Nigeria. When that happens we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards for personal data.

5. How long we keep it

We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and afterwards for the period needed to meet legal, tax, accounting and fraud-prevention requirements. After that we delete or anonymise them.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it where we are not required to keep it, restrict or object to certain uses, or withdraw consent you gave earlier. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

7. Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit, hashed PINs and monitoring to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password and PIN private and tell us quickly if you suspect misuse. If a breach affecting you occurs we will notify you and the regulator as the law requires.

8. Children

WoodPay is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here, with a notice in the app for material changes.
